The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in React and Next.js to lead the development of high-quality, responsive, and performant web applications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect code, and has hands-on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker). You will work within an agile team, delivering features and enhancements in sprints with strict deadlines, while maintaining clear and effective communication in English with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React and Next.js
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to convert Figma designs into functional, pixel-perfect, and responsive user interfaces. - Implement and optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of devices and browsers.
- Leverage containerization (e.g., Docker) to ensure consistent development, testing, and deployment environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to deliver high-quality code on time.
- Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend-related issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, contributing to the team’s technical growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer, with a focus on React and Next.js
- Proven expertise in building and deploying modern web applications in a fast-paced development environment
- Strong proficiency in translating Figma designs into clean, maintainable, and reusable code
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS or LESS)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, delivering output based on sprints with strict deadlines
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with global teams
- Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Context API)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building software from scratch
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for React applications (e.g., lazy loading, code splitting)
- Knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, .NET, REST/GraphQL APIs) for better cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Previous experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams
- Filipino, residing in The Philippines
